The fragrance composition developed under the supervision of chief perfumer Nazir Ajmal includes notes of cinnamon, rose, guaiacwood, patchouli and musk.

Ajmal list the three main accords as being "spicy" in the stop, "floral woody" in the heart and "woody musky" in the base. 

Culturally, the new scent is presented as a "premium French perfume" by Trade Arabia in what appears to refer to an informal label of quality, almost a metaphor for luxury in fragrance as it is actually developed locally unless it is a reference to the sourcing of perfumery ingredients. In fact, perfumer Nazir Ajmal stresses in his bio that he acts as consultant for European companies wishing to develop Arabian-styled perfumes, Orientals in particular.

“This premium fragrance is a unique entry into this region as it is a modern oriental fragrance with an essence that is international in its composition.”

Bling comes in a 75 ml eau de parfum spray bottle decorated with crystals.

Other perfumes with "Bling" in their names include Mariah Carey Lollipop Bling (2010) and Revlon Bling Bling (2010).
